GN Solids Control has provided hundreds of drill cuttings management systems to international customers. GN Drill Cuttings Management Systems are mainly includes two configurations: one is GN Hi-G Shale Shaker and GN Decanter Centrifuge, the other is GN Cuttings Dryer and GN Decanter Centrifuge.
Weeks ago, GN Solids Control provided one set of cuttings management system to a Xinjiang, China Drilling Company. That GN system is designed to treat oil base cuttings and synthesized base cuttings, so the main treating equipment GN Solids Control provided is GN Cuttings Dryer and GN Decanter Centrifuge.
1.GN Cuttings Dryer
GN Cuttings Dryer is the first treating phase. All cuttings are transferred by a screw conveyor or vacuum pump into GN Cuttings Dryer inlet. GN Cuttings Dryer has 3 different sizes of screen baskets: 0.25 mm, 0.35 mm and 0.50 mm. Cuttings larger than 0.25 mm can be separated out. Rotating speed up to 1200 rpm and G force reach to 750G in order to separate out most of the solids. Based on site testing, GN cuttings dryer can help to reduce the oil on the final cuttings below 5% converse the original oil content is around 20%.
To keep the screen basket from blocking, 4 flushing outlets inside the cuttings dryer are used to flush the cuttings dryer discharge ring. And an air knife system also helps to force the solids off the screen basket.
2.GN Decanter Centrifuge
GN Decanter Centrifuge is the second phase treating unit, it eliminate those finer solids (above 2~5 microns) from the liquid discharged by GN Cuttings Dryer.
As GN Cuttings Dryer treat flow rate is around 30~50 Tons/Hour, here use a 14 inch bowl centrifuge can match the treating volume.
When treat water base cuttings, use GN Hi-G shaker to replace the cuttings dryer is another wise choice. GN Hi-G shaker is more cost effective as it can eliminate most of the liquid or water. GN vacuum screen unit can be also provided if you need a much dryer solution.

GN Solids Control manufactures different kinds of transfer pumps includes vacuum pump, centrifugal pump, screw pump and submersible pump. GN made vacuum pumps are largely used to transfer all the flow-able materials such as oil sludge, drilling cuttings, waste slurry, concrete materials, animal wastes and dredging slurry etc.
Last month we shipped 2 sets of vacuum pump to a African customer: one 20 m3/h and one 40 m3/h flow rate. GN Solids Control also manufactures 10 m3/h vacuum pump. The 10B and 20B are both portable model which are fixed with wheels that can be moved easily, while the 40B is the largest model that protected by supporting and lifting skid and pad.
GN Solids Control vacuum pump is able to transfer larger particles less than 75 mm. Solids contend up to 80% can be transferred. And the largest distance is 1000 m.
GN Solids Control vacuum pump is an air driven pump that need to connect with an air compressor when working. As long as the suction distance is less than 8m, it’s absolutely OK for GN vacuum pump to suck and transfer any kinds of large density or viscosity slurry.
In order to suit customers’ demands well, GN Solids Control also provided several different types of discharge tools. Two typical tools are rotating feeder which is mainly used to discharge to a cuttings box or to an afterwards treating equipment like cuttings dyer, the other one is triple skip station which is used to distribute slurry into multiple cuttings boxes.
GN Solids Control also provides mini vacuum cleaner, it a GN vacuum pump fixed with a wide suction inlet. As we know, spilled sludge in the rig site is very difficult to clean, but by using GN mini vacuum cleaner, it can clean ground easily without to much labour work.

GN Solids Control has been manufacturing shaker screens from the very beginning of GN Solids Control established. With these years fast development, GN Solids Control is able to provide a whole series of shaker screens that can be used on GN made shale shakers as well as some other world famous brands’.
Actually, in the first several years GN made huge metal frame shaker screens. But with new technology get to use, GN Solids Control started to built composite frame shake screens.
There are many good advantages if you compared GN composite frame shaker screens with metal frames screens. With those extraordinarily advantages, more and more customers are only purchasing GN composite frame screens instead of GN metal frame screens. Composite frame is new technology which is more complicated. Inside the GN composite frame shaker screen is still a metal frame that welded by automatic welding robot, while the metal frame is covered with high quality plastic materials in a moulding machine.
1.Using Life
GN made composite frame screens are at least 20-30% time longer than metal frame screens which were proved again and again by hundreds of customers’ parallel testing.
2.Separating Area
Due to GN composite frames screens can use less supporting frames compared with metal frames, so the same size shaker screens a composite frame one has larger effective separating room compared with metal frame one. 3.Weight
It is easy to understand that composite frame screens are lighter than the metal frame screens because it’s using less metal which is replaced by plastic.

Due to the composite frame screens are covered with plastic, it guarantee screens can stock for more than 5 years without aging. While the metal frames one are suffering from rusty after stock some months.

GN Solid Control only uses 2 famous brands on the vibration motors include USA Martin and Italy OLI. GN shaker deck is using stainless steel to protect the shaker from rusty. A 2.6mm sealing C type groove is also fixed on the shaker deck so the sealing rubber is easy to fix, which is one of GN patent for better protection shale shaker and extend the shaker screens using life.
